Cusack Forensics is a boutique forensic accounting firm based in Sydney, NSW that assists individuals, businesses, and law firms across Australia with financial disputes and business valuations.
As specialist forensic accountants, we are experts at identifying, assembling, analysing, presenting, and rebutting different types of financial evidence. Given the complex subject matter, we take great pride in our ability to unravel complex structures and financial transactions and present our results in a concise, accurate and straightforward manner.
Our business valuation skills have been developed over many years across all industries enabling us to identify the growth and risk factors driving value in almost any business. As a team, we have conducted over 500 business valuations.

Lauren Cusack Founder & Director
Lauren spent 13 years with Ernst & Young, 7 years with Crowe Horwath and nearly 4 years at ESV before deciding to establish her own boutique forensic accounting and business valuation firm. Lauren has nearly 25 years’ experience in audit and business advisory services, taxation services, business valuations, forensic accounting, litigation consultation and support. Lauren has assisted in providing expert forensic accounting and business valuation evidence in the Supreme Court, the Family Court, the Federal Circuit Court, and the Industrial Relations Tribunal. Lauren is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and is both an accredited business valuer and an accredited forensic accountant with CAANZ. Lauren is also a member of the Australian Association of Collaborative Professionals (AACP) and Collaborative Professionals NSW (CPNSW).

Bill Jansen Quality Review Consultant
Bill has over 40 years of accounting experience, primarily with EY (Ernst & Young) having been a partner there since 1980. Having retired as a partner in 2006, Bill served as a consultant to both Ernst & Young, Crowe Horwath and ESV. In addition to providing expert evidence in litigation proceedings, throughout his 40 years, Bill has specialised in providing valuation and advisory services to privately owned and operated businesses including entrepreneurial growth companies. He also assisted in Taxation and Succession Planning assignments for high-net-worth individuals. Lauren and Bill have formed a formidable partnership spanning nearly 25 years and enjoy working together to solve complex accounting and business valuation issues.

Trevor Stanton Consultant
Having worked alongside both Lauren and Bill at Crowe Horwath, Trevor understands the demands of court deadlines and complex financial and accounting matters. As a chartered accountant himself with nearly ten years’ experience in the accounting industry, Trevor has strong financial and management accounting skills and is experienced in dealing with complex business structures and transactions.
